His Excellency Mohamed Hussein Roble, Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, congratulates Somali women on International Women’s Day.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the role of women in nation building, social welfare and social protection, and that the government would ensure the protection of its 30% quota.
“On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, I congratulate all Somali women and thank them for their dedicated, capable, relentless and honest role in nation building and in all aspects of our lives.”
Eng. Roble said the Somali government has never accepted violence against Somali women and stands for the protection of their rights.
