Iran retaliated against Israeli aggression

Following the Israeli air strike on the Iranian embassy in Damascus on April 1, which killed diplomats and high-ranking generals, Iran predictably retaliated by raining missiles down on the Zionist state.

Around 300 ballistic and cruise missiles, and drones were launched from Iranian territory to strike Israel for the first time. The 5-hour attack targeted only military installations however and caused no human casualties.

The Israeli army spokesman said that its defense system, the Iron Dome, had destroyed most of the projectiles and that only “a little girl” had been injured. Israel did not talk about what damage the missiles that went through the Iron Dome did.

Moreover, despite the fact that US bases and ships in the region have intercepted numerous missiles and drones aimed at Israel, an air base in the Negev and installations on the occupied Golan Heights were reportedly damaged by missile fire.

Iran declared that it had concluded its attack and would respond vigorously if Israel continues its anti-Iranian aggression. Tehran also warned Washington, a staunch ally and backer of the Zionist state, to not interfere.

Israel promised a response after a meeting of the war party comprised of warmongers and genocidal individuals. As many of its western allies are lining up to condemn Iran’s retaliation, it has also requested the UN to do the same. An emergency meeting of the UN Security Council is scheduled at 4 pm on Sunday.

Overall, the Iranian response to the embassy attack, which left 7 dead including two high-ranking generals, was described as “measured” and “calibrated”. Tehran has signaled its deterrence following a long list of Israeli attacks inside and outside Iran.

In other words, these limited strikes are an appetizer of what awaits Tel Aviv if it doesn’t stop poking the bear’s nose. The next round of missiles won’t just light up the skies over the garrison state, as many experts familiar with Iran predict.
